The homeowners wanted to update their landscape design while maintaining the historic charm of their 1870s home. We transformed the property with a low-maintenance xeriscape, incorporating drought-tolerant plantings to add texture and color.
To address the sloped front yard, we installed ground cover to prevent soil erosion and enhance visual appeal. A custom walkway and stairs, designed to resemble natural brick, lead to the front door, blending seamlessly with the home’s architecture. The existing mature trees were preserved to maintain shade and character.
In the backyard, we built pea gravel walkways connecting the space, lined with raised planting beds framed in metal for a rustic touch. A stepping stone walkway, made from materials that match the front yard walkways, leads to the back door, ensuring a cohesive and timeless design.
